I was visiting a friend and she had bunch of bananas and after eating most of it with peanut (okay groundnut, let me not form proper proper hehe) which I can survive on, call me a monkey. I thought to bake with some of the bananas and got in my baking mood.
I enjoy cakes and pastries and try to do my fair share of baking when I get the chance to or when I’m in a good mood, you can tell today is one of those days.
Also it’s my first attempt baking banana cake and I totally forgot to take pictures of the entire
process but thought I would share the result.
I will drop a list of the ingredients used and process, will also attempt it again during the holidays.
- Banana
- Self raising flour
- Sugar
- butter
- milk
- Egg
Mash the bananas in a bowl, until smooth
Melt butter and sugar
Add the mashed bananas to the butter and sugar
Add egg and while mixing add in flour and milk
Stirlightly until smooth
Bake at low heat for 40 minutes
Notice I didn’t add portions and quantity, please I am Nigerian and there’s nothing like that in a typical Nigerians dictionary, we just add based on desired quantity or taste buds or until your African instincts tell you to stop and most times it comes out excellent, even though I can’t say for other times.
So knock yourself out with the amount of ingredients you put in.
Also I didn’t add any flavours as there was none available and going to the shops wasn’t an option so will make sure to add flavours when I bake the next one.
Between it tasted yum with the banana more than the flour. Healthy right? Lol
Ta da!!!
