Does Money equal Comfort?

When you surround yourself with smart people you have nothing to worry about. I am lucky to be surrounded by them. Many times we feel once we have all the money we need, all the pain and sorrow will go away, but does it really turn out that way at the end of the day? I'm not sure myself but I thought the best way to find out was to ask others and we can all weigh in and explain why we feel so.

Even though it is a complicated question to answer, I asked some of my friends "Does money equal Comfort?" and the responses I got were amazing, bearing in mind that they are of different age group and I felt this was the best way to do it because that way you get different responses from their point of view depending on how they see life. I personally don't think any of the responses I got was wrong. It just depends on how you view and see the situation and I managed to compile the responses I got. If you think otherwise you can comment and I am sure others will be happy to see this from maybe a totally different point of view.

Below are the "Brilliant" replies I got, some got me laughing tho... Lol

“No! Comfort is a relative phenomenon that totally depends on your state of mind, you can have money and still not be comfortable. Like Nepa in Nigeria, I put on the Generator but there is still the noise discomfort, again the fact that I can use a Benz in Nigeria doesn’t mean I have the pleasure to travel bearing in mind the bad roads, therefore Money hasn’t solved the problem” – Osaro

"Yes! Comfort is something that can be taken care of with material things, I don't think there is any material thing that money cannot buy.  It makes you feel at ease with your environment and yourself. Taking a train or trekking vs buying a car, if you have money you would prefer to buy a car. Rented apartments vs buying a house ain't the same thing is it?" Anonymous

“No! Some illness won’t go away even if you have all the money in the world. Happiness cannot be bought with money and without happiness you won’t be comfortable, also you can be rich but if your marriage is not fine, you can't be comfortable” – Funke

“Sometimes! A good number of our problems can be solved by cash. No problem = Comfort” – Olisa

“Nope! Comfort is a relative term. While a lot of attribute comfort to wealth, most times it’s not necessarily so. I think comfort comes with the state of being at peace with yourself” – Henry. M

“It depends, but yes it does. Healthy life needs comfort but you still need money to live that kind of lifestyle” – Henry. C

"Money is not comfort. It supports living a comfortable life, but God gives comfort with or without money. A taxi ride is comforting but expensive meanwhile a public transport is very stressful but cheaper." – Gbemi

“Haba! Is anything comfortable free?” – Tony

“No! Money can't make you attain comfort. You can be comfortable without having money depending on your level of satisfaction, but when you have money you can always be comfortable” – Humphrey

“No! More money, more problems. The more you make the more you spend in terms of lifestyle” – Rimi

“Obviously! Money is comfort. Is Rolls Royce and 504 same? Is studio flat and 3 bed flat same?” – Anonymous

“Not at all! Money actually means discomfort. When you have too much money you lose your peace, fear of losing your money and insecurity arises. People beefing and getting jealous” – Emma

“Of course! Without a doubt whatever problem money cannot solve will definitely lead to death or that problem is death itself” – Anonymous

“Not quite! Money can aid comfort but it doesn’t give you peace of mind, it affects your kind of friends, love, family and sense of accomplishment” – Ruth

"Basically money equals comfort, if you don't have money you can't enjoy the basic things in life, note that keyword is 'BASIC', you need money to acquire whatever will contribute to your comfort in life. So yes, you need money to live a comfortable life" Olaitan Odewusi

“Not really! No matter how much you have, it doesn’t guarantee comfort especially if you don’t have good health” – Anonymous

“Depends on how you define comfort! I have always said I don’t want to be rich I just want to be comfortable, so I suppose to an extent money is comfort. You can’t have a comfortable home, a comfortable wage and a comfortable lifestyle without money” – Natalie

“Nope! Not at all” – Charles

"Nope not necessary! You can achieve a certain level of 'comfort' but you can also be unhappy"  Anonymous
