So today being a Sunday and after not going to church for almost 3 months! Yes I know have really been a BAD GIRL! We all are once in a while lol.. I felt the word of God come alive in me, the sermon was titled 'Is there no Balm in Gilead' and trust me it was an awesome one, I am not going to disclose the name of the church because that's not my topic for today and also not here to preach to anyone, but just to share my experience and doubts about being Born Again.. Yes! I'm born again so don't mess with me.. hehe.. As the service went on it felt really good to be in Gods presence, praising and worshiping him and the Pastor did a really good job in making me understand the words and gave some points which i jotted down to share to others also, like *Whatever touches me touches God* *whoever is not in joy is driving God away* *When you lose understanding you are in the congregation of the dead* and as the service went on it got to the part I will call 'Action Moment'..hmm! You know that point in time when the pastor starts talking about sins and it connects to you and the pianist is on those slow keys that makes your heart race fast,and when the pastor finally says if you want to give your life to Christ, please stand up and put your right hand on your chest.. and you start asking yourself oh God! are my sins that much for me to come and proclaim your word again and find out you are stylishly looking round the hall to see who's hand is on their chest or who is staring at you. I have experienced a lot of that in the past. but guess what, Today! I did it without fear in me.. I knew how much I needed God in my life and ready to give my life to him, because without him I am nothing and only try my best... Ok! i'm not trying to feel super cool here.. just saying how fulfilled and free I feel. back to what brought about this whole born again ish.. which is my question for today. What Does It Mean To Be Born Again!!....?
Different worship centers preach about being born again and the things you should be seen doing and like the saying goes 'practice what you preach.. well i'm one of those people who believes being born again doesn't mean you have to take away all the fun in life and live a boring life, like you own all the problems on this earth.. Even Jesus disagrees to that! I feel being born again should simply mean, acting like a true Christian will do.. help your neighbors, read Gods word, preach it but again don't force it.. no one likes it when you are in their face saying the same thing over and over again. People and I wont use the word 'Sinners' only change when God touches them to. not by the words you sing in their ears everyday and judging them. I know a few worship centers even though I am not going to mention names.. will say.. No earnings, No makeup, No extensions and all that stuffs.. But I don't see it that way I see it to be the spirit that dwells in you and how you carry yourself. Being born again doesn't mean I cant party, hang out or even go on dates, Trust my friends are deff gonna skin me alive if i say !Oh you know what i'm born again Fuck! parting and all that crap!.. lol did I just swear there..LOL! that's another thing.. even though you wont catch me using words like that, we all do once in a while tho.. even pastors get so upset they do it. Trust me, It could be in their thoughts but is that not a sin? so I just wonder how to deal with all the crap! pardon my swearing.. I know i'm born again... Don't remind me or rub it in my face.. you could still get punched lol. But seriously we all need these things once in a while when you just wanna vent your anger at someone or anything.. It crossed my mind that most people that are born again say 'oh! i'm born again I shouldn't be seen doing or using such words.. Well I'm curious to know, when they get pissed off! by the Police, their bosses or someone just above their status and knowing that they can't say what is in the their minds at that point.. does that mean they aint swearing at or cursing that person in their hearts?.. things like God PUNISH YOU! as a Nigerian pidgin slang of saying God is deff gonna deal with you for stressing me this much lol.... *like my lecturer will say.. you aint allowed to swear within the study premises but he does use bloody! once in a while and says OH did i just swear there! give me a disciplinary form... lol
Wow didn't know I had written this much..Hmmm! that's the Holy spirit leading me to type uncontrollably, cool right? Anyways I think its time to for me to stop here and start thinking about my being born again and the do's and don'ts of my new life.. while i'm doing this am I allowed to do it with a bottle of "Kopparberg cider" because Damn! I love that drink especially the mixed fruits..again I said a Bottle. You should try it.. Haha! a born again asking you to try alcohol.. well its your choice to 'sin' and say Suzanne led you into it.. think about it!
